Qualities that are a MUST:

• Be a licensed Mortgage Broker in British Columbia.

• Have previous mortgage underwriting experience
• 
  
• Outgoing personality.

• Flexible and ready to work extra hours during busy times.

• Ideally, some finance background or at least a competent understanding of basic math and finance.

• Proficient with Microsoft office suite of products (Especially Excel… we freaking LOVE excel)

Qualities that would be great if you had:

• Multiple languages (Mandarin and/or Cantonese are highly rated here)

• Sales experience

• Experience dealing with real estate investors and investor mortgages

• Friends and family that need huge million dollar mortgages (please?

Tasks this person will be undertaking:

• Entering applications, working on figuring out files, underwriting applications in general
• 
  
• Submitting deals to lenders for approval
• 
  
• Calling lenders to figure out which lender will do a deal (solving the puzzle is fun!)
• 
  
• Helping the team prepare approval packages
